Chelsea star Eden Hazard has admitted he is ready to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Real Madrid his preferred destination.

The Blues star scored as Belgium beat England in the World Cup third-place play-off in Russia on Saturday, before turning his thoughts to the domestic season ahead.

Chelsea, who announced Italian Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach on Saturday, begin their Premier League campaign in less than a month’s time, but Hazard is unsure if he will be there.

The forward has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, whose former manager Zinedine Zidane was keen on bringing him to Spain before resigning last month.

Real Madrid are looking for attacking reinforcements after Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus earlier this week.

"After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different," he told reporters after Belgium's win over England. “For my career, certainly after this World Cup, I’m at a moment where I might change. We all know that I’ve always felt well at Chelsea, so..... I’ve been linked to all the big clubs. Next week it will be Bayern. No I’m joking. You all know my preferred destination.

"I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go."
