West Ham earned their first Premier League win of the season on Monday night as they beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 at London Stadium.

With Slaven Bilic under heavy pressure to get points on the board, his side offered plenty of perspiration but little in the way of inspiration until Pedro Obiang's heavily deflected effort looped in with 17 minutes remaining. Andre Aye scored a second five minutes later to seal the win which lifts the Hammers off the foot of the table.

Crystal Palace's 1-0 defeat to Burnley saw Frank de Boer lose his job after just four games in charge of the Eagles, who are goalless and pointless this season.

Newcastle earned a second win of the season with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Swansea City, as they climb above Arsenal into 10th.

Manchester United lost their 100 per cent record but returned to the top of the table with a 2-2 draw at Stoke City on Saturday.

Stoke's summer signing Maxim Choupo-Moting opened the scoring just before the interval, only for Marcus Rashford to level up for the visitors inside injury time in the first half.

Mourinho’s men looked comfortable in the second half when Romelu Lukaku managed to find the back of Jack Butland’s net to give them the lead for the first time, but Xherdan Shaqiri’s corner found Choupo-Moting at the far post who, having left Phil Jones in a heap on the floor, headed home to equalise for a point.

Sergio Aguero opened the scoring, slightly against the run of play, before Sadio Mane was shown a straight red card for a high foot which connected with Ederson's face.

The contest was effectively over as Gabriel Jesus made it 2-0 soon after. The Brazilian added his second after the break before Leroy Sane added a double late one as City strolled back into first place.
