Eric Dier reacts to Tottenham transfer rumours: 'Dele Alli will go to Madrid... on holiday!'

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has been in superb form in recent weeks - and it's no surprise his performances have got people talking.

The 20-year-old took his Premier League tally for the season to 11 with a crucial strike in Sunday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City.

Mauricio Pochettino's side fought back from two goals down to claim a valuable point at the Etihad Stadium, keeping their title hopes alive.

And the Spurs squad were in jovial mood as they made their way to Barcelona after stifling Pep Guardiola's side.

The north Londoners flew to Spain ahead of some warm weather training and Eric Dier took the opportunity to broadcast a live Instagram video from on board the plane.

Full backs Danny Rose and Kyle Walker appeared on screen and Dier gave a fan's suggestion that the pair could be purchased for a combined price of £60million short shrift: "Not enough."

Alli also featured in the video as the Spurs players began to read out messages sent in from viewers, one of whom asked: "Do you think Dele will go [Real] Madrid?"

But Dier shot back - quick as a flash - "on holiday!"

Spurs will indeed be in Spain for the next few days but Pochettino's players are unlikely to be given an opportunity to kick back and relax as the Argentine looks to oversee some serious work on the training ground prior to Saturday's FA Cup clash against Wycombe Wanderers.
