France forward Antoine Griezmann has been named the Euro 2016 Player of the Tournament, despite Les Bleus' final defeat to Portugal.
The 25-year-old was unable to help his side lift a third major international title on home turf but still had a tournament to remember.
Griezmann, who plies his at club level with Atletico Madrid, scored six goals during his side's route to the final - including four in the knock out stages.
Such an impressive tally was enough for Griezmann to claim the Golden Boot award and he has now been recognised as the tournament's leading performer by a 13-man strong UEFA panel.

UEFA chief technical officer Ioan Lupescu, who led the panel, told the organisation's website: "Antoine Griezmann was a threat in every game he played.
"He works hard for his team and possesses technique, vision and quality finishing.
"The technical observers were in unanimous agreement that he was the tournament's outstanding player."
The full panel consisted of Sir Alex Ferguson, Alain Giresse, David Moyes, Packie Bonner, Mixu Paatelainen, Savo Milosevic, Peter Rudbek, Gareth Southgate, Thomas Schaaf, Jean-Francois Domergue, Gines Melendez and Jean-Paul Brigger.
Griezmann's opening goal arrived in the group clash against Albania before he netted a brace against the Republic of Ireland and Germany in the last-16 and semi-final stage respectively.
Three Premier League based players - Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen and Dimitri Payet - have been included in the official Euro 2016 Team of the Tournament.
