Chelsea full back Cesar Azpilicueta is confident Spain can make it a hat-trick of European Championship victories.

Spain won in 2008 and 2012 and Azpilicueta said: "Spain have been the European Champions twice in a row and our target is to do our best to win it again. We have the ability and with a bit of luck we can win again.

"The squad is full of very good players, we have ones with over 100 caps and younger ones who are trying to get a spot. All of us are trying to make it difficult for the manager (del Bosque) to make a decision and to improve the squad.

"It was hard for us after being eliminated from the last World Cup so early (group stage). The feeling that we had was so bad, but the group got stronger and we had a very good qualification campaign.

"We know we have huge potential, with very good players. When you go into a competition like this, it can be decided by small details. It is going to be really difficult, we know we have to fight hard and play our football."
