Watch Lineker, Shearer and Ferdinand erupt in BBC studio after England's winner as former Wales pair fall silent

Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand were caught celebrating England's late winner against Wales in the BBC studio on Thursday.

After ITV's rolling cameras recorded West Ham manager Slaven Bilic mounting the studio desk with arms aloft on Wednesday, the BBC trio produced similar scenes as Welsh pair Dean Saunders and John Hartson watched on in silence.

Roy Hodgson's side were trailing at the break after Gareth Bale's free kick got the better of Joe Hart in Lens, but offensive substitutes Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge and Marcus Rashford helped the Three Lions come from behind to sink their neighbours late on.

Both Vardy and Sturridge combined with Dele Alli for the injury-time winner as England moved to the top of Group B and Lineker failed to contain his excitement as the winning strike hit the net.

The former England striker leapt to his feat, while Shearer and Ferdinand's muted celebrations erupted into something more emphatic when they saw presenter Lineker upright with both clenched fists in the air.

Saunders and Hartson, meanwhile, share a wry smile; check out the clip below.
