Ask any football manager and they will confirm signing a forward is never easy.

Will they score enough goals? Are they a target man or a poacher? Do they possess blistering pace or are they more immobile than Ciro Immobile?

These questions are asked and answered on Fifa 19's career mode, where the new and improved scouting tools means you have to discover players to sign, rather than have them ready at your disposal.

EA Sports have given the career mode a polish with revamped transfer negotiations - you can now sit down with the player and his agent - which means that you should take full advantage and sign the best and brightest youngsters with the highest potential.

It won't come as a surprise to see PSG star Kylian Mbappe top of the pile after a sensational season which saw him win the Ligue 1 title and World Cup with France. His potential remains a lofty 95, with a rating of 87.

But signing Mbappe will almost certainly burn a hole in your pocket.

So why not take a look at some strikers that, with some nurturing, could become world-class at a fraction of the price?
