Didier Deschamps has been named the Best Fifa men's coach of 2018 following France's World Cup triumph in Russia.

Deschamps, 49, was left disappointed two years ago as France lost the Euro 2016 Final to Portugal on home soil in Paris - but Les Bleus avenged that defeat in style this summer as they lifted the most famous trophy in football in Moscow.

France navigated a group featuring Australia, Peru and Denmark before beating Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium to set up a final against Croatia.

And Deschamps' men saved the best for last as they impressed with a 4-2 win over the Croatians to win the same trophy that the coach lifted as captain of his nation back in 1998 - becoming only the third man to achieve such a feat.

The France boss also beat Croatian boss Zlatko Dalic, who took his nation to their first World Cup final after just nine months in the role.
