Former Tottenham full-back Kyle Walker endured a nightmare home debut for new club Manchester City after being sent off against Everton.
The 27-year-old, who left Spurs in a £50million transfer in July, started City's Premier League match against the Toffees at the Etihad Stadium on Monday night but lasted just 44 minutes after being dismissed for two bookable offences.
The England international picked up his first yellow card of the evening after bringing Leighton Baines down with a challenge before he backed into Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 43rd minute.
The 20-year-old immediately fell to the ground, which triggered referee Bobby Madley to show Walker a red card despite there appearing to be little contact between the City defender and the Everton forward.
The incident came after Wayne Rooney had opened the scoring for Everton with his low drive from inside the box that flew past Ederson and into the net in the 35th minute.
