Former Tottenham and Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov has signed a one-year deal with Greek club PAOK.

The 34-year-old Bulgarian was a free agent after leaving Monaco in the summer.

Berbatov was reportedly linked with a deadline-day switch to Aston Villa but he has instead committed to PAOK, who are coached by former Juventus defender Igor Tudor.

Berbatov arrived in England in 2006, leaving Bayer Leverkusen to join Spurs for £10.9 million.

A £30.75m transfer to Manchester United followed and he scored 48 Premier League goals in four seasons at Old Trafford.

The Bulgaria international returned to London with Fulham before spending the 2014-15 campaign with Monaco.
