A France side decimated by injury return to Nations League action looking to rescue their campaign.

Despite boasting one of the deepest talent pools in world football, the champions head into the World Cup with a lengthy absentee list and turmoil off the pitch.

While Kylian Mbappe is fit, the likes of Paul Pogba, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante are all missing.

Clearly, manager Didier Deschamps still has options many would envy, but the French have struggled to put a disappointing Euro 2020 campaign behind them.

Currently, they sit bottom of Group A1 and travel to Austria – who sit a place above them - in their penultimate game before their World Cup defence.
