Frank de Boer has told his Crystal Palace side to "show some balls" after losing their opening three games of the season.

A first ever Premier League goal from Tammy Abraham, on loan from Chelsea, and another from Jordan Ayew condemned De Boer & Co. to third straight defeat.

Palace are now without a point at this stage of a top-flight season for the first time in their history and De Boer has pointed the finger at his players' mistakes and wants to see a "different" team soon.

"We have to show some balls from the first second of the game. It wasn't until after we were two nil down that we showed we really can play," De Boer told BBC Sport.

"It was not because of the quality of Swansea that we lost. We made two mistakes in the first half, they had two half-chances and scored both times.

"It is a very hard lesson for us. If we do not show balls or courage then you get punished. In second half you saw a different Palace who creates chances and with a bit of luck you make one of those. It just wasn't the day for us.

"Hopefully you will see a different Palace after international window."
