Fulham are considering giving Sone Aluko a new deal after they rejected “multiple bids” for the striker.

Aluko has one year left on his agreement and has impressed since joining from Hull last summer.

Following Fulham’s 3-0 defeat by Wolfsburg on Saturday, boss Slavisa Jokanovic said: “All I can do is fight. Around me, there is news we’re thinking about selling him. If we do this, then it will be a big mistake for my team.”

Fulham then confirmed that they had received offers for Aluko — although they did not reveal the identity of the club — and said they were weighing up a new contract for the 28-year-old.

The Cottagers have already tied down both Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney this summer, while Tomas Kalas has again arrived from Chelsea on season-long loan.

Kalas made 40 appearances at Craven Cottage last season as the club reached the Championship play-offs.

Meanwhile, Fulham have confirmed the signing of Aboubakar Kamara from Amiens for an undisclosed fee.
