Josh Onomah is already targeting a return to the Premier League with Fulham, saying the Cottagers must use the end of this season to prepare for a promotion push.

Scott Parker’s side were relegated with three games to play on Monday, but Onomah says they must end the season with pride and look to bounce straight back.

The former Tottenham man missed most of the season with a knee injury and is hoping a season in the Championship can help get his career back on track.

“For me, the preparations for that start now,” Onomah said of next season. “We’ve got three games which are about playing for the badge and for the fans.

“For me individually, I haven’t played a lot so it is about showcasing what I can do and try and get 90 minutes under my belt for the last three games.

“I know what the Championship can give, we’re looking forward to that challenge. Look at Watford and Norwich, they’ve bounced straight back and that is what we want to do.”
