Expansion: The Riverside Stand (background) will undergo development
Alex Miller30 January 2015

Fulham are expected to begin the long-awaited expansion of the Riverside Stand at the end of the 2015-16 season.

The club received planning consent for the development which will increase capacity from 27,500 to 30,000 in July 2013.

The work will also give Fulham additional VIP and entertainment facilities.

Club officials have yet to confirm an official timescale surrounding the project but it is understood that the expansion work will see construction initially take place around the current stand.

The plans make provision for a riverside walk along the Thames from Putney to Hammersmith and a riverside cafe will also be built as part of the development.
