Fulham have wrapped up the deadline-day signings of Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and Middlesbrough full-back Cyrus Christie.

Slavisa Jokanovic's promotion hopefuls moved to strengthen their squad on Wednesday ahead of the Championship run-in.

Mitrovic had looked set to return to former club Anderlecht on deadline day, but the Serbia international has joined Fulham on loan subject to clearance.

Fulham director of football Tony Khan said: "I'm thrilled to welcome Aleksandar to the club.

"He is a talented player who has already amassed an impressive record at the highest levels of the game.

"We're looking forward to him joining the Fulham squad and helping us build towards our ultimate goal of promotion this season."

Republic of Ireland international Christie has arrived on a permanent basis from Boro, signing a deal until 2021 with the option of a further year.

"He is a fantastic young player who brings both an international pedigree and a wealth of Championship experience with him," Khan said of Christie.

"I can't wait for him to join us and help the squad continue to push for promotion."
