Fulham's Diomansy Kamara in Celtic switch

On the move: Diomansy Kamara

Diomansy Kamara could have played his last game for Fulham after joining Celtic on loan for the rest of the season.

The deal includes an option for Celtic to buy the 29-year-old and sees Kamara reunited with Celtic boss Tony Mowbray, who sold the forward to Fulham from West Brom for £6million in 2007.

Kamara has scored three goals this season in 13 appearances, five of which came from the bench.

He said: "I'm looking forward to joining up with the manager and my new team-mates. Celtic are a magnificent club."

Kamara's departure comes after his replacement at Fulham, Stefano Okaka, admitted he was pining for home in Rome even before he checked in at Craven Cottage.

The Italy Under-21 international signed off with Roma yesterday by scoring the winner with a backheel against Siena.

Okaka is now on loan with Fulham until the end of the season and is likely to go straight into the squad that on Wednesday will seek to arrest a run of five successive Premier League defeats at home to struggling Portsmouth.

He said: "The goal against Siena was a big satisfaction, I wanted to do a good performance. I'll be homesick for the Roma supporters but I'm going to Fulham to do good things."
