Gary Neville gets shirty - Manchester United legend shows off amazing football shirt collection

Gary Neville felt a touch of nostalgia on Saturday morning after stumbling across a raft of classic shirts from his playing days.

The former Manchester United right-back took his Twitter followers for a trip down memory lane by giving fans a reminder of which elite stars he went up against during his illustrious career.

The star-studded list included Brazilian forward Ronaldo, Roberto Baggio and Argentinian ace Ariel Ortega as well as Italy legend Paolo Maldini- who gave Neville an international top with a personal touch.

Neville claimed that he found the shirts lying in black bags in storage - stating he doesn't keep football memorabilia in his house, instead placing them in Manchester United’s museum.

The 38-year-old amusingly left a message to accompany the shirt of former Arsenal favourite Robert Pires, which read: 'Pires before we started booting him!

And the proud United servant could not help having a harmful dig at rivals Liverpool - reliving the 1996 FA Cup final win over the red by posting a picture his top from that Wembley triumph, writing: 'Oh Eric it was a good day' referring to match winning Eric Cantona.
