Germany manager Joachim Low intends to keep a close eye over Arsenal pair Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi in the coming weeks and will travel to England to assess their progress.
Both Ozil and Mustafi are key members of Die Mannschaft, the former being the creative hub of the World Cup winners and with 83 caps to his name before his 28th birthday.
Ozil started in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Northern Ireland whilst Mustafi, who has impressed since his £35million move to the Emirates in August, replaced Jerome Boateng in the second half.
With further World Cup qualifiers to come in November and next summer’s Confederations Cup on the horizon Low intends to travel to London to keep an eye on his charges.
“I’d like to see some games abroad in the next weeks,” Low told reporters. “I’ll go to England and watch Arsenal, where two of our players are playing now.
“I’ll just have a look at what’s going on abroad and keep an eye on the Bundesliga.”

Arsenal supporters had feared that Ozil faced a spell on the sidelines after he was substituted at half-time in the Northern Ireland win, though the playmaker dispelled those concerns on Twitter after the match.
Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan took his place and Low explained that the substitution had been partly due to a desire to give the recently-injured midfielder additional play time.
“I had thought about it a lot before the game, but I could see from training that [Gundogan] was still not completely at 100 percent. He still needs some more game time to find his very best form.”
