Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola is confident Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud will start scoring goals on a regular basis.

Morata ended a run of just two goals in 20 games with the winning goal against MOL Vidi and has found the net four times his last four games for the Blues.

French striker Giroud had also struggled to find form in front of goal and hadn't found the net since May before the 31-year-old's strike in the 1-0 Europa League victory over BATE Borisov on Thursday.

Zola revealed coach Maurizio Sarri isn't worried if his strikers fail to score as long as they work for the team, but backed his strikers to get amongst the goals eventually.

“You probably expect the main strikers to be the main scorers but sometimes that's not the case, especially if you play differently," he told Sky Sports.

“[Maurizio] Sarri asks the strikers to do a lot of work for the team, and even if they don't score, they are very important for the team. I think they are learning about this.

“At the moment they are busy doing this and have less attention for scoring. But it will come. I'm 100 per cent it will come. Also they have a good attitude on the pitch and in the week.

“The strikers for Maurizio, they always score a lot of goals. Maybe not at the beginning, but in the end they score. That's what I'm hoping is going to be the case here as well.”

Chelsea host Everton on Sunday afternoon as they aim to maintain their status as the only unbeaten side in Europe's top five leagues and Morata is likely to start after being rested for the trip to Belarus.
