Harry Kane denies Tottenham 'choked' in Premier League title race vs Chelsea

Harry Kane insists Tottenham did not "choke" in the 2016/17 Premier League title race.

Spurs missed the chance to move within one point of Chelsea early last month after losing 1-0 at West Ham, and the Blues subsequently won their next two matches to secure top spot.

However, after falling away at the end of the 2015-16 season, Kane rejected the idea Spurs did so once again this term.

The striker highlighted that their 1-0 defeat to the Hammers at the London Stadium was the only time they dropped points between February 11 and May 21.

"At the minute, I am away with England so I am more concentrating on them but we have a got a great team [at Tottenham]," he said.

"Winning 12 out of 13 games to finish the season I don’t think is really choking.

"But it is what it is and we just have to wait and see what happens next year."
