Harry Kane has urged Tottenham to move on from the Antonio Conte era.

Spurs begin life after the Italian with a trip to Everton on Monday with interim manager Cristian Stellini facing a fight to keep the club in the Champions League race.

A win at Goodison Park would send them as high as third, albeit having played two more games than current incumbents Newcastle.

Speaking for the first time since Conte’s departure Kane said: “That’s football.

“I wish Antonio all the best and good luck for the future but for us its about moving on now, obviously with Cristian and Ryan [Mason] here.

“It’s about starting tonight with an important three points, there’s ten games left and we need to fight for every point that is available.”

Of Conte’s public outburst after the draw against Southampton, the 29-year-old added: “He had his opinions on the matter and it was emotional after what was a really disappointing end to that game.”

Anything other than three points at Goodison Park would have to be seen as a major disappointment as Stellini begins the first of his ten games in charge.

Longer term, recently sacked Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann had emerged as a frontrunner for the Spurs job, although Standard Sport now understands the German is keen on a move to Chelsea following the sacking of Graham Potter.
