Hugo Lloris has signed a new deal with Tottenham designed to keep him at the club until summer 2022.
The France captain has agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract that is within Tottenham's wage structure, but could eventually reach about £120,000 per week if certain performance-related bonuses are achieved.
The contract signed last month by Harry Kane is thought to be structured in a similar fashion.
Lloris' decision is hugely significant for Spurs, as their captain had been cagey until now about his future.
But if the 29-year-old has opted to extend his deal, it suggests he is confident about the club's future.
Lloris' previous deal was due to expire in 2019, meaning Tottenham would have been slightly more vulnerable were a rival club to make an approach next summer.
But this fresh contract means that Lloris' status is secure and Spurs will be hopeful that he will be captain when they start to play in their new stadium.
Spurs plan to occupy their £450million, 61,000-seat ground from the 2018-19 campaign.
Lloris is the latest in a line of key first-teamers to sign new contracts at Spurs.

Of the men valued most highly by manager Mauricio Pochettino, only Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld have yet to sign again. Victor Wanyama is a vital man for Pochettino but he has no need to renegotiate having joined the club only last summer.
