Ian Holloway has changed QPR’s usual travel arrangements for Saturday's game at Burton Albion in a bid to improve his side’s fortunes on the road.

Rangers have managed only one away win in the Championship this season. They normally train at their Harlington base the day before a game and then travel to their destination in the afternoon.

But QPR were due to leave Harlington on Friday morning and then hold a training session at Aston Villa’s training ground this afternoon.

Rangers used the same preparations for their only away victory this season when they won 2-1 at Birmingham last month and Holloway has decided to adopt that approach again for the trip to Burton.

“It seemed to work when we got that first away win so hopefully that can give you five per cent extra and we can get some more positive results,” said defender Jake Bidwell. “We are doing the same and hopefully we can have a repeat result.”

Paul Smyth and Jordan Cousins miss out tomorrow because of injury.
