Staying put: Ilias Chair

QPR have no plans to sell Ilias Chair this week after turning down a £4.25million bid from Turkish club Trabzonspor.

The transfer window shut for English clubs and much of Europe last week, but it remains open in Turkey until Friday.

Trabzonspor had been looking to use that to their advantage by signing Chair and made an offer worth £4.25m for him.

QPR have turned down the proposal, though, and are not looking to sell the forward as they cotinue their fight to avoid relegation from the Championship.

The Rs are currently 22nd in the table and three points from safety, with a home match against Norwich on Saturday next on the agenda.

Chair has been a rare bright spark this season, scoring three goals and laying on five assists.

The Moroccan’s performances led to him being nominated for the English Football League Player of the Year award at this month’s London Football Awards.
