Two matches in, two victories for England. Roy Hodgson will be mightily chuffed.
Wayne Rooney warned fans before the match that it could take up to 30 minutes for England to break the deadlock against San Marino, and the England skipper was bordering on becoming an oracle, before Everton's Phil Jagielka opened the scoring on 24 minutes.
Rooney would double England's lead just before the break, converting a penalty in the 43rd minute.
England would continue to increase their lead in the second half, with substitute Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain finding his Arsenal team-mate Danny Welbeck with a driven cross for the striker to score his third goal of the qualifying campaign.
And the hosts looked to have extend their lead even further when Oxlade-Chamberlain's shot cannoned in off the leg of Adam Lallana, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
But England finally had their fourth, again, inspired from the substitutes bench.
Tottenham's Andros Townsend collected the ball on the right flank before cutting inside to typically rifle the ball into the bottom corner of the net on 72 minutes.
An own goal would cap a comfortable night for England at Wembley, but who stood out?
