It's time to get the whip out, claims Harry Kane

11 April 2012

Harry Kane admits time is running out for England Under-19's to prove themselves worthy of a place in the Euro 2012 qualifying squad.

Tonight's friendly against the Czech Republic at Leyton Orient is the last chance for the youngsters to impress before coach Noel Blake selects his 18-man squad for May's Elite Round qualification.

England received a bye through the first phase of qualifying and are in a group with Switzerland, Slovenia and Montenegro. Each group winner will join Estonia at the final tournament.

"Every player has to impress the manager now," said Kane, who is on loan at Millwall from Tottenham.

"We've got a great chance to show what we can do. The competition is in all positions on the pitch."
