Ivory Coast vs Egypt: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results - AFCON preview

Marc Mayo26 January 2022

Egypt are out to put their 2019 heartbreak behind them and win the Africa Cup of Nations - with Ivory Coast next up on the Pharaohs’ agenda.

A defeat in the last-16 three years ago ended their hopes of lifting an eighth title on home soil and Carlos Quieroz’s side have a tough task to qualify for the quarter-finals this time around.

After defeat to Nigeria in the groups, Egypt claimed back-to-back 1-0 wins to qualify second and land a difficult draw against the Ivorians.

A late hiccup against Sierra Leone was the only blotch on the Elephants’ record in Group E and a convincing 3-1 victory against Algeria last time out secured their place atop the group - knocking out the holders in the process.

Ivory Coast vs Egypt is scheduled for a 4pm GMT kick-off on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
