Jack Wilshere forgets how old he is in bizarre TV interview mistake

What words come to mind when you think of Jack Wilshere? Chances are the list includes 'Arsenal', 'English' and 'young' (and 'injured').

All of those would be correct, and even more correct if you are actually Jack Wilshere. You see, the Gunners man has knocked a welcome 12 months off his age.

In a bizarre mistake during a TV interview on Wednesday, the Bournemouth loanee somehow managed to forget how many years he has existed on Earth.

"I've started to realise I'm not that young anymore," he told Sky Sports News. "You know, I'm 24."

Except you're not, though Jack. You're 25 years old.

To be fair, with his birthday landing on New Year's Day, he may have just skipped the celebrations this year. It is a busy time of year for a footballer.

After all, he will have been celebrating a man-of-the-match performance in Bournemouth's 3-0 win at Swansea City the day before.

But, hey, 25 is still young. No need to worry too much.
