Jazz Richards says Fulham’s players are right behind Kit Symons.

Symons’ position has come under scrutiny following a slow start to the season.

Fulham, who are 14th in the Championship, face Leeds at Craven Cottage tonight and midfielder Richards said: “He is a top manager and you have got to give him a chance.

“We have got new players and we are all starting to gel together. It is just giving him the opportunity.

“We are all happy with him and hopefully we can start getting results and all that will blow over. We are 100 per cent behind him.

“We all trust in him and believe in him. To change that now would mean starting afresh and I do not think that is a good idea.”

Steve Evans will take charge of his first game after replacing Uwe Rosler as Leeds boss on Monday.

Leeds are just one point above the relegation zone having won one of their last six matches but Evans said: “The fans can get ready for winning football.”

Richards added: “It can work for them [the players] and it can work against them.

“They are all going to want to try and impress their new manager but we are not really looking into that.”
