Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been given a suspended one-match stadium ban and fined £50,000 after admitting a breach of Football Association rules in relation to post-match media comments, the FA has announced.

The Portuguese boss claimed that match officials were biased and it is alleged that his words brought the game into disrepute.

Mourinho will be punished with a stadium ban if he is found guilty of a further breach of FA rules over the next twelve months.

Mourinho's post match comments included his views on a penalty appeal by striker Radamel Falcao, which was waved away by referee Robert Madley and resulted in a yellow card for the Colombian.

"It was a big penalty for us. Not small, not doubtful. Big. Huge. That was a penalty. We don't get decisions and I think referees are afraid to give decisions to us.

"When we are top I understand everyone wants to push you down, but when you are down give us a break."

Chelsea have endured a disappointing start to the Premier League season and have lost four of their opening eight games this term.
