Kenny Dalglish signs three-year Anfield deal

11 April 2012

Kenny Dalglish said today he is excited about Liverpool's future after signing a three-year deal to become their manager but warned fans not to get carried away by the team's revival.

Liverpool were only four points clear of the relegation zone when they sacked Roy Hodgson in January and brought in Dalglish until the end of the season.

A huge change in fortunes - the Reds go into Sunday's game at home to Spurs knowing that victory will earn them a Europa League spot - has prompted deals for Dalglish and coach Steve Clarke.

Dalglish said: "We wouldn't have taken it if we weren't excited about it. We're not going to make any predictions. We can't afford to think that because we are finishing strongly that's us set up for next year. There won't be any complacency from us."
