Eden Hazard believes his countryman and Chelsea team-mate Kevin De Bruyne should leave Stamford Bridge to get regular action ahead of the World Cup 2014.

Hazard, 22, told Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad: "If he does not play, it is better for him to leave."

It comes after Belgium boss Marc Wilmots advised the 22 year-old to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Hazard added: "Playing a World Cup after having not played for a year... is very difficult.

"If we want to get the best from Kevin in the future it is better that he leaves. But he's a big boy. He must make his own choices."

De Bruyne, who signed for Chelsea from Genk last year for £7m spent last season on loan at Werder Bremen and has been linked with a move to several clubs including Schalke and Anderlecht.
