Kylian Mbappe given ‘3/10’ by L’Equipe player ratings after ‘ghost’ display in PSG’s loss to Man City

Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe was savaged by French newspaper L'Equipe after his team's loss to Manchester City.

Judged to have been the worst performer on the pitch, the infamously tough player ratings from the daily publication gave Mbappe a score of 3/10.

Neymar, Leandro Paredes and Idrissa Gueye - who was sent off - all received marks of 4/10, along with manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Manchester City full-backs Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo, the latter substituted before Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez's goals - were also rated with a 4.

On Mbappe, the young sensation came into the tie having firmly put Champions League holder Bayern Munich is the sword in the previous round with two goals.

However, Mbappe failed to attempt a single shot across 90 minutes - a first for him in Europe's top competition.

His 30 touches during the games was fewer than both goalkeepers. Ederson had 31 and Keylor Navas with 53.

L'Equipe described Mbappe's performance as "ghostly", adding: "He did not take advantage of enough depth and did not punish the slowness of City.

"He made a bad choice in the 85th minute in a clear counterattack."
