LaLiga Smartbank side Fuenlabrada have confirmed 12 new cases of coronavirus at the club and 28 in total.
Fuenlabrada's final fixture of the season, away to Deportivo La Coruna last Monday, was postponed after several of the Madrid team's players tested positive for Covid-19.
After their no-show in Galicia, which saw Deportivo relegated as both Lugo and Albacete won their games, Fuenlabrada's squad remained isolated in A Coruna.
"Fuenlabrada want to express our profound pain and concern after the latest round of PCR tests showed a total of 28 positive cases at Fuenlabrada," the club said in a statement on Saturday.
"There is a total of 12 new cases. Four of the new cases are in Madrid and they haven't had any contact [with anyone else] since the match against Elche on July 17.
"The other eight new cases have been giving negative results since Saturday, July 18, and, despite staying in their rooms for the last six days, they have tested positive today."
One member of their squad has been in hospital since Friday, but Fuenlabrada said the player "is in a stable condition" with "non-serious" symptoms.
A win for Fuenlabrada at Deportivo would have seen the Madrid side claim a promotion play-off spot, but the match now looks unlikely to be played and the club could face a fine and even demotion to Segunda B.
Meanwhile, Deportivo have said they will take legal action after what they believe was an "adulteration" of the competition.
