Laurent Koscielny has reiterated his commitment to Arsenal after being asked whether he would consider a move back to Ligue 1.

The Arsenal vice-captain has established himself as one of the Premier League’s outstanding centre-backs over his seven seasons at the Emirates as well as earning a place in the French national side.

Speculation over his future has been almost ever present in recent years but Koscielny offered a sign of his commitment by signing a new contract during the season.

In an appeance on Telefoot Koscielny was asked whether he would consider a move to the newly-monied Marseille, who brought Dimitri Payet back to Ligue 1 in a £25million deal.

“I have a contract with Arsenal, I even signed an extension last November [the club confirmed the deal in January] until 2020,” Koscielny said.

“I feel very good over there.

“I have always said that I was a Marseille fan when I was younger. When a mythical club like Marseille contact you, it is good. But will I sign for them? I have no idea at all.”

Speaking last month Koscielny revealed he requires daily treatment on a long-standing Achilles injury he first picked up in October 2014 and that has led to several setbacks since.
