Lay off Odemwingie: Clarke's fan plea

21 February 2013

Steve Clarke is urging West Brom fans to support Peter Odemwingie if he faces Sunderland at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

The striker (above) has not played since he drove to QPR on transfer deadline day and tried to force through a move.

But boss Clarke said: “I know fans might not forgive him quickly but all I ask is they support the team. If Peter scores and they choose not to celebrate, they should celebrate the fact the team have scored. Will he be considered for Saturday? Absolutely.”
