Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is 'a bit of an idiot', says James McClean

West Bromwich Albion winger James McClean has labelled Jurgen Klopp “a bit of an idiot” after he refused to shake hands with Tony Pulis after Sunday’s 2-2 draw.

Liverpool needed a stoppage-time equaliser from Divock Origi to salvage a point for Klopp’s side after Albion defenders Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson struck to overturn the hosts lead.

The manager led his side in bowing in front of the Kop after the match, but Klopp also drew attention for snubbing Pulis, something McClean was far from impressed with.

He told BBC Radio WM: “I have got a lot of respect for the man because he done a great job at Dortmund, but I think he is a bit of an idiot to be honest.

“On the game on Sunday you can't act that way. Win, lose or draw you have got to be respectful.”

Klopp was far from impressed with his side’s performance after a draw against a direct West Brom side and has since told his Liverpool side that they are not allowed to lose to long ball sides again.
