Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers wants to finance a move for Arsenal’s Theo Walcott by selling Andy Carroll.

Walcott has one year remaining on his contract at Emirates Stadium and is also wanted by Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to keep hold of Walcott but may have to increase his wages to £100,000 per week to do so.

Liverpool, who signed Roma forward Fabio Borini for £8million last week, are prepared to off-load Carroll if they receive a suitable bid this summer.
