Liverpool have completed the signing of Charlton's Joe Gomez on a long-term deal.
The England Under-19 made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Addicks last season after signing his first professional contract at The Valley last summer.
Centre-back Gomez , 18, graduated through Charlton's youth academy and the Reds beat off competition from Premier League rivals to secure his services.
After signing his contract, Gomez told Liverpoolfc.com: "It's a dream come true. It's a bit surreal and it hasn't really hit me yet. But I'm buzzing and just excited to get started.
"The club has got great history and it's a great club, and one that I've always been following from when I was young.

"The style of football and the top players here was somewhere that I wanted to go and get better and learn, and play good football. It was an easy decision."
Charlton CEO Katrien Meire said: "It is with a heavy heart that we let him go, but we wish him all the best,” she said.
