Jordan Ibe was the star man as Liverpool's pre-season tour ended in disappointing fashion as they were held to a 1-1 draw by a Malaysia XI.
Brendan Rodger's side started poorly and defensive miscommunication between Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren let Liberian striker Ronaldinho through. His finish was worthy of his namesake as he toe-poked the ball past Adam Bogdan with the outside of his right boot.
With the visitors struggling to break down an XI happy to sit back and soak up pressure Ibe stepped up to the challenge with half an hour gone. Picking the ball up on the right channel he cut onto his left foot, beating two defenders before unleashing a howitzer that Khalid could not block at his near post.
Those two goals aside this was an insipid game, though Liverpool had their chances, mostly falling to Dejan Lovren, who missed presentable opportunities on four occassions. That aside James Milner and Jordan Henderson showed strong understanding but Liverpool had certainly saved their worst performance for the end of the tour.
