Andy Robertson has warned that Liverpool's Champions League quarter-final tie against FC Porto is far from over, despite the Reds holding a healthy lead.

After returning to the top of the Premier League table courtesy of a 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp's side travel to Portugal on Wednesday night as they look to seal a semi-final spot in European football's elite club competition for the second successive year.

Last year's beaten finalists will take a decent advantage into Wednesday's second-leg at the Estadio do Dragao after goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino sealed a comfortable 2-0 win at Anfield last week.

While many described Liverpool as already having one foot in the last four, Robertson insists there is still work to be done against a team that the Merseysiders thrashed on aggregate in the last 16 in 2017-18 after a 5-0 away triumph.

"Winning 2-0 at home was a good result for us but now we've got a tough away game," said the left-back, who was suspended for the first leg.

"We know the tie is far from dead. Porto are a different team at home.

"We need to be at 100%. We need to recover and ensure we're ready to go on Wednesday night to hopefully secure that semi-final spot.

"We've been to Porto before so we know what to expect. I'm sure it will be a very different game compared to what we did last time.

"We were just too good for them at their place last year but they're a different team now.

"We know how hard it will be but we'll be prepared for it. It's all about getting the job done."

Liverpool are currently two points clear at the Premier League summit having played one game more than title rivals Manchester City, while one of Barcelona or Manchester United await in Europe should they finish the job against Porto.

Asked about the club's prospects of sealing a memorable double, Robertson said: "We want to go as far as possible in the Champions League and we're taking it right to the wire in the Premier League, whether we win it or not remains to be seen.

"We want to win every competition we're in and we'll go flat out for both but we know how hard it's going to be."
