Kevin De Bruyne starts on the bench for Manchester City against Brentford in the Premier League tonight.
The Belgian played the full 90 minutes last time out, a draw with Chelsea that ended City’s 11-match winning run. The champions now look to put together another streak and pile the pressure on Liverpool and Arsenal in the title race.
De Bruyne is named among the substitutes, and so too is Nathan Ake. Oscar Bobb comes in to make his first Premier League start.
Jack Grealish limped off with a muscle injury last week against Copenhagen and was not involved against Chelsea, with the 28-year-old facing at least a couple of weeks out.
“It’s not that much, not worse than we expect,” Guardiola said earlier this week. “Maybe 10 days, maybe three weeks, maybe a month. I think it’s less, so it’s good news.”
Josko Gvardiol remains out with an ankle injury, but it is otherwise a fully-fit squad for Guardiola to choose from, after Bernardo Silva recovered from an ankle issue of his own to feature off the bench against Chelsea.
Silva returns to the starting lineup, with Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden keeping their places as De Bruyne drops out.
John Stones was an unused substitute against Chelsea but also comes in to partner Ruben Dias, as Manuel Akanji shifts over to left-back.
Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes are both available and are among the substitutes.
