Man City XI vs Leicester: Confirmed team news, starting lineup and injury latest for Premier League today

Tom Doyle3 April 2021

Sergio Aguero has been handed a start as his farewell tour begins with Manchester City taking on Leicester this evening.

Aguero, City’s all-time leading goalscorer, announced this week that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season and both he and Gabriel Jesus are in the starting lineup today.

With the Premier League title looking like a done deal already, Pep Guardiola seems to have one eye on Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final first leg against Borussia Dortmund.

Ilkay Gundogan has been afforded a breather to ensure he is fresh to face his former club in Europe, while the likes of Raheem Sterling and Joao Cancelo are also on the bench.

John Stones is another to have featured heavily on international duty, starting all three of England’s matches, so Aymeric Laporte partners Ruben Dias.

Man City starting lineup: Ederson, Walker, Dias, Laporte, Mendy, Fernandinho (C), Rodrigo, Mahrez, De Bruyne, Jesus, Aguero

Injury list/suspensions: None
