Julian Alvarez has been left on the bench for Manchester City’s derby with Manchester United today.

Ederson, Rodri, Phil Foden and Ruben Dias all returnn to the XI having sat Tuesday’s 6-2 FA Cup win against Luton.

Josko Gvardiol is back from an injury issue but Jack Grealish has been ruled out with a groin problem.

Kyle Walker has got the nod over Manuel Akanji to face Marcus Rashford in defence while Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden are preferred over Alvarez in attack.

Erling Haaland will be out to pile more misery on United after his five goals at Kenilworth Road.
