Man City XI vs Newcastle: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news, injury list for Premier League today

Manchester City will have to make do without Kevin de Bruyne as they take on Newcastle in the Premier League this evening.

The influential Belgian playmaker is yet to shake off a minor muscle issue, which also kept him out of the 2-1 loss to Chelsea last time out.

On De Bruyne, Pep Guardiola said: "He is still injured. He is getting better. When he is fit he will come to training.

"The guys who are completely fit, 100 per cent mentally and physically, will have the chance to play the final."

"Before that we have three games to get information about how the team is and the players to play in the last game of the season."

Elsewhere, John Stones is available again and should come in, potentially replacing Aymeric Laporte though Ruben Dias could be rested.

Phil Foden, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva were on the bench for the loss to Thomas Tuchel's side so should also come back in.

Up front, Sergio Aguero could be given a chance to make amends for his Paneka penalty nightmare as the squad are treated to a guard of honour for winning the title.

Manchester City predicted XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Stones, Dias, Mendy; Bernardo, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Aguero, Foden

Manchester City provisional squad: Ederson, Steffen, Walker, Cancelo, Dias, Stones, Laporte, Ake, Garcia, Zinchenko, Mendy, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne, Foden, Silva, Torres, Mahrez, Sterling, Aguero, Jesus.
