Manchester United team news: Erik ten Hag delivers Antony update ahead of FA Cup Final

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag does not expect Antony to be fit for the FA Cup Final in a blow to his plans.

The 23-year-old was forced off with an ankle injury last week against Chelsea, and missed United's win at Fulham on the final day as a result.

It had been hoped that Antony, who would have started the Wembley clash against Manchester City, could shake off the injury, but his manager is fearing the worst.

"[It's] unlikely," Ten Hag said of Antony playing. "Dos Santos [Antony] still has a chance but it's a really small chance. He didn't make the progress, so he still has a chance but unlikely he is available."

Anthony Martial was earlier this week ruled out of the game, in another blow to his injury-hit season, joining Lisandro Martinez, Marcel Sabitzer and Donny van de Beek on the sidelines.

Ten Hag appeared frustrated when discussing team news, responding to reporters: "These questions so many times about the absence of players in the last couple of months.

"Every time I say the same answer: it's about the players who are available and many times we were successful. We have a good squad and from that good squad we make a good team."
