Manchester City 5 Swansea 0: Champions on course for 100 points after five-star demolition of Swans

Manchester City moved 16 points clear of second-placed Manchester United with a thumping 5-0 victory over Swansea at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

City were playing for the first time since being crowned champions and raced into a two-goal lead as first David Silva thrashed a strike beneath Łukasz Fabiański before Raheem Sterling turned in Fabian Delph's low cross.

Kevin De Bruyne's thunderous strike from range made sure of victory before Bernardo Silva got in on the act, slotting coolly past Fabianski after Gabriel Jesus's penalty had come back off the upright.

But Jesus was not to be denied as the Brazilian nodded in Yaya Toure's cross to cap a five-star performance from the home side.

The victory means City remain on course to become the first Premier League team to post 100 points.
