Daley Blind has taken to Instagram to dedicate a post to his Dutch team-mate Robin van Persie hours after the striker all-but confirmed his move to Fenerbahce.

The Manchester United utility man said in a caption beneath a picture of the pair: "Thanks for everything @robinvanpersie Wish you all the best with your new adventure!!"

Van Persie, who was pictured earlier today in a Fenerbahce scarf, is on the verge of completing his switch to the Turkish club after spending three seasons with United.

The Holland striker captained Premier League rivals Arsenal before making the controversial switch to Old Trafford where he was instrumental in winning the Premier League title during Sir Alex Ferguson's final season at the club.

However, an injury-plagued season and a loss of form in the 2014/15 campaign saw Van Persie fall out of favour with Louis Van Gaal and opened the door to his move to Fenerbahce.
