Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen has warned interested clubs the Dutch giants will block any bids for him this summer.

Manchester United are believed to have earmarked Cillessen as a potential replacement for David De Gea, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months.

Cillessen worked with United coach Louis van Gaal at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but only signed a new contract at Ajax last December.

And despite the shot-stopper being rumoured to be the Red Devils' number one target should De Gea depart Old Trafford, Cillessen has now revealed that Ajax will not entertain any bids from interested clubs this summer.

"The Ajax management are going to make it really difficult when the interest becomes concrete," the 26-year-old is quoted as saying by the Mirror.

"If I had planned to leave, I would not have signed a new contract until 2018.

"My old contract was expiring in the summer of 2016 and in that case this summer would have been the perfect moment to leave.
